"Expanding Customer Base with Expertise as the No.1 Supplier to the Middle East’s Top Fire Industry Company"

Mediana (041920), a leading  South Korean medical device company, announced on the 22nd that it will participate in the largest medical device exhibition in the Middle East, 'Arab Health 2025,' held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from January 27 to 30, as part of its initiative to expand its customer base in the region.

The Middle East market is witnessing rapid growth in demand for medical devices due to its aging population, increasing cases of chronic illnesses, and reliance on medical device imports. Cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of death in the region, has also fueled the expansion of the emergency medical market, including defibrillators.

Mediana has already proven its potential for growth in the Middle East by supplying ambulance medical devices to NAFFCO, the No.1 fire industry company in the region.

At this year’s exhibition, Mediana will showcase its state-of-the-art emergency medical solutions under the theme of “Leading Emergency Solutions,” featuring products such as Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and advanced Monitor Defibrillators (MDDs).

Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs):
Mediana’s AEDs are optimized for the region’s high-temperature conditions, capable of functioning even at 60°C. This makes them ideal for both indoor and outdoor installations in public facilities such as airports, train stations, and sports arenas. The AEDs are also equipped with a Remote Management System (RMS) that allows efficient monitoring of operational status and usage history across multiple devices in various locations.

Advanced Monitor Defibrillators (MDDs):
These devices provide real-time monitoring of vital signs, including ECG, heart rate, blood pressure, and body temperature, while also offering defibrillation capabilities during cardiac arrest. They are versatile for use in hospital emergency rooms, operating theaters, recovery rooms, and pre-hospital emergency scenarios.

Additionally, during ambulance transport, the devices can transmit real-time patient vitals to nearby hospitals using a remote monitoring system (MD RMS). This enables hospitals to assess patient admission capacity and prepare rapid responses, significantly improving emergency care outcomes.

Comments from Leadership

Expanding our customer base in the Middle East, alongside our existing presence in Korea and Europe, will be a key driver of revenue growth.”

He further added, “To secure competitiveness in emergency medical solutions, integrating software technologies like RMS is essential. By leveraging the AI and software capabilities of our affiliate, Selvas, we aim to differentiate Mediana’s medical devices with cutting-edge AI medical solutions.”

Through its proven experience as the No.1 supplier to the Middle East’s top fire industry company, NAFFCO, Mediana is poised to further solidify its presence in the region, bringing innovative and reliable emergency medical solutions to meet the growing healthcare demands.

In addition to AEDs and MDDs, Mediana will also display Patient Monitors and Vital Sign Monitors at the event. Visitors can find Mediana at Booth H7 E30 during the exhibition.
