A major medical device exhibition positioning itself as Korea’s premier event will open next week in Wonju, a city fast gaining recognition as the nation’s center for cutting-edge healthcare innovation.

The 21st Gangwon Medical Equipment Show (GMES 2025) will run from September 18 to 19 in Wonju Enterprise City. Organized by the Wonju Medical Industry Institute of Technology (WMIT), the event will highlight the latest hospital equipment, consumables, and healthcare solutions that point to the future of medical services.

This year’s exhibition will bring leading domestic players together across the medical device, healthcare, and biotech sectors, offering visitors a firsthand look at the rapid advancements shaping Korea’s medical technology industry.

“GMES is not only a showcase for medical devices, but also a platform that bridges B2B and B2C,” said WMIT President Jong-Hyun Han. “Visitors can try out beauty and healthcare devices, purchase them at special discounts, and benefit from promotional events featuring brands such as Neoflam and Applerind. We expect strong turnout this year.”

Full program details are available on the websites of WMIT and GMES 2025.
